Frequently asked
Questions

A: The implementation process for new clients is handled by our Customer Success Team, and it goes through the following steps:

  1. Assignment and introduction of project managers from the Customer and Logistaas sides.
  2. Set up various serial number formats (for shipments, invoices, quotations, inquiries, etc.).
  3. Select the local currency and the currencies used in revenue and cost invoices.
  4. Create the list of charges used in various modules.
  5. Customize the documents generated by the system based on the Client’s preferences (i.e., shipment documents, invoices, quotations, etc.).
  6. Upload existing client, agent, and subcontractor records.
  7. Complete any needed integrations (accounting software, air waybill platforms, INTTRA, etc.).
  8. Train the users, followed by a testing period.
  9. Go live.

The length of this process significantly depends on the customizations needed to our standard document templates and the complexity of the required integration(s). A straightforward implementation can be completed in 3 weeks, but companies should budget for 4-6 weeks.

A: When a company signs up with Logistaas, a relationship starts with our Customer Success Team. We are a subscription-based business and must continue providing value to our customers for them to keep renewing their licenses. Therefore, support is not only provided for free but also highly encouraged.

Users can contact our Customer Success Team by email, WhatsApp, telephone calls, or through the ticketing system in our Help module. Our working hours are 5:00 – 20:00 GMT during working days and 6:00 – 12:00 GMT on weekends.

We also provide 24/7 support for critical issues, which are technical problems preventing users from using the system. We use an array of tools to monitor the system performance and guarantee 99.9% uptime in our Service Level Agreement.

A: We host our servers on Amazon AWS data centers in Frankfurt, a world leader in information security and safety (you can read more on: https://aws.amazon.com/security/).

We have a second server hosted on Alibaba Cloud’s data center in Hong Kong (mainly for companies in China and countries where Aliyun cloud services perform better than Amazon AWS). You can read more about their security standards through the following link: https://www.alibabacloud.com/product/security.

Furthermore, we take daily backups of the entire database and ongoing incremental backups to database changes. We use SSL certificates and several third-party security tools.

A: Unfortunately, we do not offer the option for on-premise hosting. We will be happy to discuss your concerns about our cloud hosting and offer turnaround solutions.

A: Many companies only use Logistaas for the CRM and sales management module. We can also customize your Logistaas account to read the standard reports generated by your TMS and automatically allocate bookings and shipments to your salespeople. Please get in touch with us or schedule a demo if you want to discuss this in more detail.

A: When freight forwarders using Logistaas consign shipments to other freight forwarders also using Logistaas (whether subsidiaries or independent agents), the origin office can send shipment details to the destination office electronically, removing the need to send manual pre-alerts. Furthermore, shipment status updates made by one office will be visible to the other. Lastly, invoices generated by one office against the other can be sent electronically.
