Logistaas

February 2025

As 2025 begins, we’re excited to introduce a range of impactful updates designed to streamline your workflows, simplify complex processes, and give you more control over freight forwarding operations. Let’s explore the latest Logistaas enhancements that will keep your business efficient and competitive.

Consolidated Shipment Page: Simplify Shipment Management

Managing consolidated shipments just got easier! The new Consolidated Shipment Page in the Operations Module centralizes all key functions, reducing manual effort and improving accuracy.

Why It Matters:

  • Finance Tab – Get complete visibility into shared costs, itemized finances, and profit margins.
  • At-a-Glance Insights – Easily monitor operational and financial statuses, automatically updating open or partially invoiced shipments.
  • Detailed Metrics – View crucial data such as MB/L, chargeable weight, actual profit, ETD/ETA, and shipment count.
  • Operations Tab – Manage shipments within consolidations, move them between groups, or convert them into standalone shipments.

Enhanced Offer Validity Options

To ensure better accuracy in client offers, Logistaas now requires validity dates for certain offers while improving administrative control.

Key Enhancements:

  • “Valid for One Shipment Only” offers now require a validity date, ensuring no confusion about when an offer expires.
  • Admins can now restrict the “Valid Until Further Notice” option, ensuring all offers are time-bound and preventing miscommunication.

New Permissions for Opportunities

Admins now have greater control over how opportunities are created and edited. These permissions help streamline workflows and protect data integrity.

New Options:

  • Add/Edit Own Opportunities – Users can now be allowed (or restricted) from creating and editing their opportunities.
  • Edit Opportunities by Others – Admins can decide whether users have permission to edit opportunities created by colleagues.

Profit Field for Cost & Revenue Items

A new Profit Field has been introduced, offering detailed visibility into your profitability at the item level.

How It Works:

  • The field initially displays “Expected Profit” until invoices for revenue and cost are issued.
  • Once invoices are finalized, the system updates the actual profit for accurate financial tracking.

Assigning Document Labels for Multiple Files

Managing shipment documents is now easier than ever! When uploading multiple files, users can assign labels directly to each document.

How It Works:

  • Select the files you want to upload under the shipment.
  • Assign labels via the “Document Type” dropdown menu for better organization.
  • Admins can manage available label options through the settings.

Standalone Credit Notes: Greater Flexibility in Financial Management

Standalone Credit Notes allow users to create credit notes independently from invoices while linking them to multiple shipments when needed.

Key Benefits:

  • Separate financial transactions for greater flexibility.
  • Link credit notes to one or multiple shipments with ease.
  • Save drafts for later review or approve instantly for streamlined processing.

User Authorization for Manual Milestones

Admins now have greater control over who can achieve manual milestones, improving workflow accuracy and accountability.

How It Works:

  • Assign specific users to milestones via settings.
  • Ensure that critical steps are completed only by authorized team members.

New Units for Shipments, Offers, and Opportunities

We’ve expanded unit options to match your operational needs better:

  1. Shipments and Offers: New units CBM/Day and CBM/Month for flexible cost and revenue calculations.
  2. Opportunities: Added Shipment, Wagon/Container (Rail), Tons, Kg, CBM (Bulk), and LDM (Land Services).

New Wakeo Tracking Filters

Users of Wakeo tracking now have access to new search filters to improve shipment visibility.

New Filter Options:

  1. Tracked: Shipments successfully tracked by Wakeo.
  2. Not Tracked: Shipments missing required information.
  3. Carrier Not Supported: Wakeo cannot track shipments, so manual tracking is needed.

Pro Tip: Add “Not Tracked” or “Carrier Not Supported” shipments to your dashboard to stay informed and resolve tracking issues quickly.

Tariff Importer Improvement: Commodity Type Column

The tariff importer now includes a new “Commodity Type” column, designed to enhance categorization and accuracy.

Benefits:

  • The dropdown menu allows users to assign commodity types quickly.
  • Ensures better organization and improves operational clarity.
